“‘Is he even the same horse?’
I’m a new horse trainer (still in training) and owner… with a young purebred Arabian… what could possibly go wrong?!?
Although I’ve learned a lot about horses and training over the years, I admit there have been some issues with my boy. Specifically, he had a tendency to spook and bolt with any new challenges added to our training routine. New tarp? Bolting time! New saddle? Bolting time! Same tarp added to same saddle? Bolting time! Long lining? Bolting time! Many times, his bolting tendencies ran him into the fence. Praise the Lord none of his injuries from hitting the fence were serious!
With Caitlyn’s help, advice, and guidance, Shalom’s first response to a new situation is now to slow down and/or stop his feet! I didn’t know if it would be possible! She offered me both coaching and hands-on guidance over multiple training sessions. Now, Shalom’s response to new situations is to slow himself down and/or stop his feet! I’m amazed at how far my boy has come with Caitlyn’s help! Thank you Caitlyn!”
